The important status of the ShymkentBuild event is enhanced by
official support from the Committee for Construction and Housing
Utilities under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Kazakhstan,
Southern Kazakhstan Region Admininstration, and Shymkent City
Administration.
Opening the exhibition, Valikhan Kainazarov, Deputy Akim of Southern Kazakhstan Oblast, said: “ShymkentBuild 2009 is being held for the first time ever, and I am sure that this project will make a significant contribution to the development of the construction industry in Southern Kazakhstan Region. I am positive that ShymkentBuild will turn out to be a remarkable event in the city’s and oblast’s business life, further partnerships, bring manufacturers’ and consumers’ interests together, and contribute greatly in economic development of the whole country.”
“The Southern Kazakhstan debut surpassed all expectations. The exhibition drew 2,000 visitors from the construction industry and associated areas, and demonstrated a high organisational level of the event. The exhibition took place in the new exhibition centre, Atameken, and presented products by about 30 companies from Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Sweden, and Uzbekistan,” says Anastasia Romashkina, Project Manager.
Exhibitors presented gas boilers and water heaters, equipment for swimming pools, heated floors, heating equipment, pumps and pumping equipment, polymeric pipes, facing brick and façade tiles, interior and façade paints, roofing, façade and waterproofing materials, sandwich panels, automatic doors, formwork, components for conveyor equipment, fasteners, etc. ShymkentBuild 2009 exhibitors included famous companies and manufacturers such as Aquatherm, Amos Trade & Logistics LTD, Buderus, Paschal, Danfoss, Insi, Penetron, PolyPlastic, Semipalatinsk Plant of Asbestos Cement Products, Center Krepezha, etc.
“Our company presents rather innovative building materials for the Kazakhstan market, for instance, Penetron waterproofing, Shinglas flexible tiles, steam insulating membranes, eco-cotton, etc. Therefore we maintain continuous contacts with construction and design companies, and a lot of our materials are listed in the Kazakhstan SNiP (construction norms and regulations). It is worth mentioning that this exhibition is a bright and festive part of our work. One thing is when materials are presented in the office or in the course of business meetings, and another thing is a presentation at the exhibition. Information coverage of the exhibition is especially noteworthy – as well as visits to the exhibition by top officials of the oblast. We are pleased with our participation in the exhibition and believe that within the next one or two months we are going to see real outcomes of the meetings we had at the exhibition,” said Andrei Belorusov, Director of Modern Construction Materials LLP, in an interview.
The main results of the exhibition included in new acquaintances and contacts, as well as agreements signed between suppliers, dealers and end users.
The next ShymkentBuild will be held on 28-30 April 2010.
